Other Metal Foams & Applications
Currently, Metafoam targets the electronic thermal management market applications for which copper foam is particularly fitted. However, Metafoam’s patented and patent pending manufacturing processes of metallic foams allow for the production of other type of foams, such as silver, copper-silver, nickel and iron foams.
These different metallic foams are characterized by different properties and attributes which can be used in different applications. Such applications may be found in LEDs, batteries, electrolyzers, fuel cells, as well as air, soil and water treatments to name a few.
The metal foam industry is still relatively young and the opportunity landscape for these new materials is just starting to emerge.
